[Introduction]

To respond to the need of the chaining and internationalization of companies in Taiwan, the School set up Distribution Management Section in the Department of Business Administration in 1998, and the focus was on the theory and practice of distribution management to cultivate experts in related fields. In 1999, the Secretarial Affairs Section, now changed to the Distribution Management Section, of the Department of Applied Foreign Languages was founded to teach theory and practice of foreign languages and cultivate experts in related fields.

 

[Objectives] 

  1. The design of the curriculum stresses management theory and practice in distribution-related fields.
  2. The courses are designed for pragmatic purposes. Students work in companies that hold cooperative relations with the College. These experiences are considered part of student’s academic performance.
  3. During the three-year program, students are required to take at least 82 credits, 18 of which come from work.

 

[Features]

The on-the-job classes adopt the 5-1-1 approach, i.e., each week students work five days in companies holding cooperative relations with the College, study on campus for one day, and have one day off. (Non-on-the-job classes study on campus on Friday evening and Saturday with a view to satisfying the needs of employment and further study.)  

 

[Career]

Graduates from the Extension Junior College are deemed the same as graduates from Junior College. They are qualified to take entrance exams to two-year technical colleges or universities,transfer to the junior year of university, take entrance exams to graduate schools, pursue further studies abroad, or take the Advanced Exam for Public Servants.
